Announcement on Adjusting the Catalogue for the Management of Imported Wastes In order to further standardize the management of solid waste imports and prevent and control environmental pollution, in accordance with the Law of the the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Wastes, the Measures for the Administration of Imported Wastes and relevant laws and regulations, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission and the General Administration of Customs have made the following adjustments to the current Catalogue of Solid Wastes Restricted to Imports, Catalogue of Solid Wastes Unrestricted to Imports and Catalogue of Solid Wastes Prohibited to Imports: 1. 16 kinds of solid wastes such as waste hardware, waste ships, waste automobile pressed parts, smelting slag and waste plastics from industrial sources (see Annex 1), transfer from the Catalogue of Solid Wastes Restricted for Import to the Catalogue of Solid Wastes Prohibited for Import, which will be implemented as of December 31, 2018. The 2. will transfer 16 varieties of solid waste such as stainless steel waste and scrap, titanium waste and scrap, wood waste and scrap (see Annex 2) from the Catalogue of Solid Wastes Restricted as Raw Materials and the Catalogue of Solid Wastes Not Restricted as Raw Materials into the Catalogue of Prohibited Imports of Solid Wastes, which will be implemented from December 31, 2019. If the catalogue attached to the Catalogue of Imported Waste Management (Announcement No. 39 of 2017 of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the General Administration of Customs and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine) is inconsistent with this announcement, this announcement shall prevail. It is hereby announced.
